Extra Curricular Programme

Universities and employers are increasingly looking for evidence of an active life outside the classroom. A full extra curricular programme is considered an integral feature of the Sixth Form. Opportunities exist in a number of areas including:-

The Tutorial System

Warminster provides a comprehensive tutorial system led by the Head of Sixth Form. This is the key element of student welfare provision. Indeed the close working partnership between student and tutor is essential to academic success.  The tutor is responsible for:

* Monitoring academic progress

* Having individual meetings with their tutees.

* Providing guidance with regard to the extra curricular programme.

* Assisting Sixth formers with all elements of the higher education application process.

Facilities

Daily life in the Sixth Form revolves around The Sixth Form Centre. The Centre is designed to meet all of the students needs. Facilities including an IT suite and a large Common Room ensure that Sixth Formers can study, research and relax in their own environment.

Social Life

Warminster Sixth Formers lead a busy social life based around the school bar which is open on a Wednesday and Friday evening. Social events are planned by the prefect team and include a formal Christmas dinner, Summer Ball and regular theme nights in the school bar.

Positions Of Responsibility

Leadership and service are qualities which are valued at Warminster School. There are many opportunities to develop these aspects of your character here. The following are some examples.
