Our choice of examination board is currently AQA Psychology Syllabus A.

This entails 3 x 1 hour units in the AS year; each unit involves 2 essays plus 4 short answer questions.
The A2 year has 2 units requiring essay writing plus one piece of coursework where a piece of independent research is undertaken. This must be carried out in a controlled scientific manner; the results require statistical analysis so a good understanding of maths is required alongside a good standard of literacy which by the end of the course will provide students with an excellent grounding for the style of work required at undergraduate level.
