Prep School Christmas Dinner

From the dining hall a chorus of Christmas carols could be heard floating throughout the school. This was of course the sound of lots of hungry, festive pupils at Warminster Prep School waiting for their lovely Christmas dinner.

Pupils and staff at the School were treated to a beautiful Christmas Dinner. Turkey, stuffing, pigs in blankets, potatoes, parsnips and even brussel sprouts appeared on the plates before pupils and staff. But outside of the traditional Christmas Dinner, those in attendance were treated to a visit from a Scottish Piper who paraded the hall playing traditional Scottish tunes as well as Christmas classics, met with rounds of applause and singing from the children. The Head Boy and Head Girl from the Senior School also visited to eat with the Head Boy and Girl of the Prep School.

There was a Christmas raffle, giving children the chance to win some early Christmas goodies, with tickets being drawn and prizes being given by members of Staff from the Senior School including the Headmaster.

The School would like give a huge thank you to the kitchen and domestic Staff for all their hard work and for treating everyone to such a gorgeous dinner.

Senior School visitors

"As part of our drive to strengthen the bonds between the Senior and the Prep Schools, Mark and I had invited the current Head Girl and Boy, Katie Griffiths and William Bourne to lunch earlier on in the term. In return we were lucky enough to be invited back to their Christmas Lunch during the last week of the winter term.

We both really enjoy spending time at the Prep School, and this was no exception. The atmosphere was brilliant and very welcoming, and the Christmas lunch was delicious. During the lunch, we were also treated to a visit from a Scottish Piper who played some traditional Scottish tunes, as well as some classic Christmas songs, whilst parading around the hall. Everyone joined in with the singing and it was a perfect way to start our Christmas celebrations. Many thanks must be given to the catering staff for all their hard work.

Mark and I hope to create many more events like this as we consider our links with the Prep School to be very important to both schools."
