Prep and Pre-Prep pupils were visited by a special guest this week. Renowned storyteller Giles Abbott came to the Prep School to entertain classes with his wonderful tales. Giles has been a storyteller since 1999 after losing much of his sight in 1998.
Giles says of his profession ‘
Through loss of something I took for granted I have found something I didn’t know I’d lost - the joy of story!’
He spent the day touring classrooms, enlightening children and staff with tales of kings and queens, witches and even squirrels and frogs! The animated way in which Giles told his stories made him a joy to watch and captivating to listen to.
The School would like to thank Giles for visiting us and keeping us all on the edge of our seats.
