24th January. *** STOP PRESS***

I am thrilled to be able to tell you that our production of 'The Phantom of the Opera' has WON the 'South West Regional Award for Best Musical' and has been nominated for two theatrical awards by the National Operatic and Dramatic Association:

Stage Electrics Award for Technical Achievement

Haslemere Award for Visual Excellence

Winners of these two awards are announced in early March - but its really something to be nominated given that these awards are National awards and we are included in the same group as companies producing at places like the Bristol Hippodrome and Cardiff Millenium Centre.

The music department is situated in two buildings on site; Church Street and Boniface. Teaching takes place in both buildings, as do rehearsals. Often, the department uses local theatres and churches to perform to larger audiences, and each year "takes over" the Sports Hall for the annual Cabaret evening in March.
Instrumental Lessons & Staff

Nearly 200 instrumental and singing lessons take place every week. Lessons are usually taught in 30 minute periods on an individual basis. All our teachers are professional working musicians and many pupils are able to be involved in music outside school times arranged by their teachers.
