Dating from 1719 Northdown became part of the boarding facilities of the School during its expansion in the 1950’s, and it has remained as one of the main boarding Houses in the School. Throughout its history it has accommodated both boys and girls at different times, and in September 2008 a new chapter begins, when it welcomes all of the Year 7-9 girl boarders, under a very experienced Housemistress, Mrs Crinion. The ethos of this new House has yet to develop, but we are certain that it will help to develop poised, confident and well balanced young women, who are sensitive to and respect the needs of others.
