There are eight staff members within the Department, four teachers and four part time learning support assistants. Teaching staff hold a range of specialist qualifications ranging from a Masters Degree in SEN to Diplomas in sp.l.d. and skills in English and Maths.

There is a commitment to share this expertise with mainstream teaching staff so pupil needs are addressed effectively.
Teachers have an additional mainstream curriculum responsibility in order to ensure ongoing close links between academic and learning support departments.
