Warminster pupils represent Devizes RFC

Warminster_school_pupils_represent_Devizes_RFC
Warminster School pupils Henry Taylor, Oliver Pratt, Oliver Shad, Kyle Merry and Max Trusler have represented Devizes Rugby Football Club during the 2011/2012 U14s season. They have had a fantastic year and were crowned U14s champions of Wiltshire three weeks ago. The standard of rugby is of the highest level and includes teams such as Salisbury, Chippenham and Marlborough - they finished the Wiltshire league unbeaten.

Warminster School host 6 a-side Football Festival

Warminster_School_Football_Festival
In sport the margin between winning and losing is often very small, and so it proved to be at the end of last term in the inaugural Warminster 6-a-side Football Festival, when Warminster’s 1st team went all the way to the final only to be beaten in a penalty shoot-out by King Edward’s School of Bath. The teams had contested a fairly even final with King Edward’s taking the lead in the first half and Warminster drawing level early in the second half. A period of extra-time could not separate the teams and so it went to the penalty shoot-out, which King Edward’s narrowly edged.

Warminster_School
This week Pupils and Staff had the rare opportunity to get up close and personal with the Barclays Premier League Trophy. Organised by Director of Sport, Mr Knight, they travelled to Bath, to London and Country Mortgages where the trophy was on display.
