On Sunday 18th March Warminster U13 Girls and U13 Boys will represent Wiltshire at the Regional In2 Hockey Finals. Both teams achieving this level is a huge achievement for the students and for the school. The teams, which train together after school, have been very much focused on the task in hand and are looking forward to the experience.
The Girls' qualifying tournament was held at Warminster School on Friday 24th February. In attendance were Prior Park Preparatory School, Chafyn Grove, Dauntsey’s, Stonar and Godolphin.
Warminster went unbeaten in this tournament qualifying as runners up to Chafyn Grove. Jessica Lee hit the back of the net four times on the day to take her tally for the season to over 40 goals. A great defensive display led to Tabitha Gulliver-Lawrence only conceding twice in five matches.
The Boys' qualifying tournament, also held at Warminster School, was on Monday 27th February and was attended by Prior Park Preparatory, Chafyn Grove, Dauntsey’s and St Johns Marlborough. The Boys rose to the challenge of a highly competitive tournament,
winning games against Dauntsey’s, Prior Park and St Johns to qualify as runners up, with the most important goals of the day being a fantastic deflected winner against Dauntsey’s

’
