Introduction
Warminster School welcomes students from all over the world, including China, Hong Kong and Macau; Thailand, Vietnam, Russia, Mongolia, Pakistan, Italy, Albania, France and Germany. They enrich our school community in many ways, bringing a wider perspective and helping us to feel part of a global community.
The EFL department helps our overseas learners to integrate into the school and feel at home however far away their country might be. We are a small and friendly department where students receive expert tuition and cross-curricula support when necessary. We attempt to bring out the best in each student, encouraging confidence and competence, to enable them to perform to their highest ability and enjoy a positive overall experience.

Examinations
IELTS Exams.
(International English Language Testing System)
This examination is now accepted as the most widely recognised language requirement for all courses in further and higher education. Candidates are selected for either the Academic or General Training paper. At Warminster, students in year 11 will sit the General paper while in year 12 the General paper is optional. In year 13 students are entered for the Academic paper to satisfy university requirements. The results of the IELTS examination are only valid for two years, after which the student must retake the exam to prove (s)he is still a competent English user.
