On Tuesday 31 January the Drama department took a group of Year 10 pupils to see the award-winning "Avenue Q" at the Theatre Royal in Bath.
The hilarious musical has been touring since its hugely successful runs in America and the London West End, where the The Times dubbed it the "musical of the decade".
Through a combination of amazing puppetry skills, animation and extremely catchy songs "Avenue Q" tells the story of a bunch of lovably hopeless characters on a downtown New York Street who are trying to make sense of life’s burning issues: love, work, relationships and, above all, just how you're supposed to pay the bills with a BA in English!
It was an immensely imaginative and technically stunning show which should hopefully inspire those who witnessed it to use some professional techniques in their own work.
